Narrative of Current Solar/Wind Status : Wabash has a solid ordinance to protect against wind. While we currently have companies seeking ground the setbacks profit it on Wabash county ground. Our solar moratorium should be over soon and new ordinance in place.

Upcoming Meetings:

September 12, 2024 - Plan commission will make a motion for new ordinance. Commissioners have 90 days to bring to vote and will put new ordinance in place soon. It puts a cap on 2,000 acres of solar in the county and a setback of 1,320 ft.
